My Philosophy

I have been a gifted education teacher for 14 years. I service approximately 40 students in multiple buildings. An atmosphere of mutual respect and a true love of gifted children allows me to form strong relationships with my students, their families, and classroom teachers. These relationships enable me to advocate for my students' needs and provide quality, interest-based learning experiences. I am passionate about early identification and affective education.

My Family

I have three children ages 26, 23, and 17.  My oldest son is a mechanical engineer at Altec Industries in St. Joseph, MO.  My daughter is a senior at Kansas State University, and my youngest son is a senior at Central High School. My husband, Chris, is a Project Manager at Shawnee County Parks & Recreation and football referee. I have a wonderful, quirky cat named Jasper and an over-active dog named Milo!
